Nutrition & tips

Method

1

Crisp the bacon

Put the bacon in a cold non-stick frying pan. Set over medium heat and cook for 6–8 minutes, turning, until cooked through and crisp. No extra oil is needed. The estimate counts the raw rashers in full, without deducting rendered fat.

2

Toast and mix

Lightly toast all three bread slices. Mix the cranberry sauce with the yoghurt and black pepper.

3

Build the layers

Spread one slice with a third of the cranberry yoghurt. Add half the lettuce, turkey and tomato. Top with the second slice, another third of the spread, the remaining lettuce, turkey and tomato, and the bacon.

4

Finish and cut

Spread the last slice with the remaining cranberry yoghurt and place spread-side down on top. Press gently and cut diagonally. Serve the complete three-slice sandwich as one meal; remove any cocktail sticks before eating.

Nutrition & tips

Estimated per serving: 1 complete three-slice club.

Estimated per complete serving: 453 kcal; protein 53.4g; net carbs 14.1g; sugar 11.1g; fibre 7.3g; fat 18.4g; saturates 4.2g.

UK carbohydrate already excludes fibre, so fibre has not been subtracted again. Net carbs use the featured SRSLY product’s published net-carb figure, accounting for its listed polyols once. These are estimates; brands, drained weights and portions change the numbers.

Use cooked roast turkey breast, not breaded turkey or a sweetened deli preparation. Bring leftover turkey straight from the fridge and keep it cold until assembling.

If using leftovers, refrigerate promptly and use within 48 hours, or freeze. Reheat only once if you choose to serve turkey hot.

This is a generous club sandwich, not an under-300-calorie option. No crisps or chips are included.

Allergens: Wheat/gluten, oats, milk; cranberry sauce may contain sulphites. Check bread and bacon labels. Also contains egg, sesame in the featured bakery product.
