Garlic prawns. Crisp lemon slaw.

Cook the prawns quickly so they stay juicy, adding garlic towards the end. A fine cabbage-and-carrot slaw brings cool crunch to the warm roll. The whole filled roll, all the slaw and the pan juices make up the stated serving.

Nutrition & tips

Method

1

Dress the slaw

Mix the yoghurt and lemon juice in a bowl. Toss in both cabbages, carrot and half the pepper. Set aside while cooking the prawns.

2

Warm the rolls

Split the rolls and warm the cut sides in a dry pan for 1–2 minutes. Put each on a plate.

3

Sizzle the prawns

Heat the olive oil in a 26cm non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the prawns in one layer; use two batches if they overlap. Cook for about 2 minutes, turn, add the garlic and lower the heat. Cook for another 2–3 minutes until opaque and piping hot throughout. A clean probe should read 75°C for 30 seconds. Stir in the parsley and remaining pepper.

4

Load and serve

Divide all the slaw between the rolls, then add half the prawns and cooking juices to each. Serve one complete filled roll per person. Eat promptly while warm.

Nutrition & tips

Estimated per serving: 1 whole filled roll.

Estimated per complete serving: 332 kcal; protein 44.2g; net carbs 8.6g; sugar 6.4g; fibre 12.1g; fat 11.2g; saturates 1.5g.

UK carbohydrate already excludes fibre, so fibre has not been subtracted again. Net carbs use the featured SRSLY product’s published net-carb figure, accounting for its listed polyols once. These are estimates; brands, drained weights and portions change the numbers.

The 150g prawn portion is the raw, peeled weight per person; it will weigh less after cooking. Do not use 150g cooked prawns as an interchangeable calculation.

Pat prawns dry so they brown rather than steam. Add garlic towards the end so it does not burn.

All measured oil, slaw and yoghurt dressing are included. No extra mayonnaise or side salad is included.

Allergens: Wheat/gluten, oats, crustaceans and milk. Check product labels. Also contains egg in the featured bakery product.
